Grading criteria:

• Master: Straight, very regular and tight grained, uniform color

• AAAA: Straight, tight grained, not as regular as Master, uniform color

• AAA: Tight grained, tending to somewhat more open grain spacing on the outer edge, slight color variation possible (winter growth)

• AA: Less tight to more open grain spacing, slight color variation and/or curved or wavy grain possible 
  

• A: Wider grain spacing, slight color variation and/or curved or wavy grain possible

• AB: Suitable for test models

• Attention : Tops with bear claw could have wider grain spacing!

Master tops for guitars (waiting list):

After careful consideration, we have decided, starting in 2025, to change the way we offer master grade tops. This means that in 2025 we will no longer keep a waiting list for master grade tops.

We would like to continue to distribute these rare and valuable guitar tops to our customers as fairly as possible. That's why we will offer these tops (as well as other products) from 2025 on our own webshop. This gives our customers the opportunity to select and order our products based on pictures. More information about the webshop will follow soon.
